About.

KALK BAY THEATRE.

The Kalk Bay Theatre is all about the atmosphere, the vibe and the heart.
THE PERFORMANCE.

Most staged productions at The Kalk Bay Theatre are created by FollowSpot Productions. FollowSpot is the multi-award winning, in-house production company run by husband and wife duo, Ash Searle & Vanessa Harris. The performances are wildly energetic, crowd-pleasing and always pushing the boundary of the space where they perform. Combining their talents in music, dance, comedy and cirque style, they bring to life shows that keep you captivated from beginning to end, and leave you wanting more.

THE SPACE.

The new Kalk Bay Theatre space is bigger and better.  We can seat up to 150 people in our new venue.  The seating is versatile and can be configured in many ways.  The stage is at floor level and boasts a much higher ceiling, allowing for more exciting acts and dance choreography.  The building is on the water, which has its pros and cons.  The views are sensational, waves crash dramatically just outside the windows and, on stormy nights with extreme high tides, the space has been known to flood!

Dinner.

AT THE BELL.

Kalk Bay Theatre and the Brass Bell have jumped into bed with each other.
DINNER BOOKING.

Dining at The Brass Bell before a show at the Kalk Bay Theatre gives you preferential seating in the Theatre.  We are currently working out a way that you can book your dinner table during the ticket booking process.  Until we have this sorted out, you can book dinner directly with The Bell, by simply giving them a bell! 021 788 5455.  Make sure you let them know that you are watching the show, and book your dinner under the same name and surname as your tickets were booked, and #boom we will link the bookings.

THE DEETS.
  • Seating reservation in the theatre is open from 6pm for diners, and 7.15pm for non-diners.
  • Dining is NOT in the theatre, but you are welcome to bring in your drinks from The Bell.
  • Check out The Brass Bell Menu HERE

Karaoke.

WEDNESDAY SING-A-LONG.

Karaoke Night has been a long standing tradition, and we plan to keep it up.
WHAT TO EXPECT.

The famous karaoke nights will continue on Wednesday nights, now hosted by Kalk Bay Theatre.  What changes can you expect?  Well, we don’t want to be fuddy duddies … but the venue will from now on be a non-smoking venue.  Other than that the fun will continue.  The entrance fee will stay at R50 per person, and we invite you all to come and smash out your vocals and have a party!

Live Bands.

SUNDAY VIBES.

The Kalk Bay Theatre is proud to host South Africa’s best musicians and bands.
LINE UP.

We are currently scheduling our bands for the summer season.  Watch this space! Opening 22 November.
